Barcelona president, Joan Laporta has claimed that the huge money Real Madrid is prepared to invest in signing Kylian Mbappe will cause problems in the dressing room.
Mbappe has already notified Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave the club as a free agent this summer.
The Frenchman is widely expected to sign for Real ahead of next season.
While Mbappe will still be the highest earner at the LaLiga giants, his salary will be around a third of his current £62million-a-year gross salary.
Real Madrid will also pay the player a signing-on fee below £40million.
“I read about the figures that will be there for Kylian Mbappé and Real Madrid, this distorts the locker room. For sure.
“It won’t be cheap, so… it will be a problem,” Laporta told Mundo Deportivo.
