Snoop Dogg is denying claims made in a sexual assault lawsuit filed over a 2013 incident.
The woman, who is a model and dancer identified as Jane Doe in the suit, said in legal docs filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California that the rapper, 50, sexually assaulted her May 29, 2013 following the Long Beach, California native’s concert in Anaheim, California, TMZ reported after reviewing court docs in the case. The woman said that Snoop Dogg’s associate Bishop Don Juan, 71, (whose real name is Donald Campbell) who is also named in the suit, had offered to drive her home, and she subsequently fell asleep. She said she eventually woke up at Bishop Don Juan’s house.
In the lawsuit, the woman said she ‘was exhausted and fell asleep at [Bishop’s] home,’ and woke up at 4 a.m. the following day.
She said in court docs that Bishop ‘removed his penis from his pants and forced his penis in [her] face’ and ‘repeatedly shoved his penis into [her] mouth.’
The woman said that Bishop ‘discriminated against and harassed’ her due to her ‘sex and gender.’
Bishop gave the woman a dress and requested she wear it on a trip to Snoop’s studio, the woman told the court, adding that Bishop dangled the prospects to her of getting cast as the ‘weather girl’ in a TV project Snoop Dogg was working on called Snoop Dogg’s Double G News Network.
The woman said in court docs that when they arrived at the studio, Snoop accosted her while she was in the restroom, ‘standing with his crotch in’ her face and forcing oral sex on her. He also masturbated in front of her, she said in court docs.
Bishop asked her to take a picture with the Gin & Juice artist and she did so while in fear, the woman said in court docs.
The woman said in court docs that she felt professionally threatened by the rap artist ‘due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again.’
The woman said that she was not hired for the TV project because she ‘refused to willingly and enthusiastically give oral sex’ to the rapper.
It was not immediately clear if a criminal complaint was made in connection with the incident.
Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., is slated to participate in a star-studded ensemble at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show in Los Angeles on Sunday alongside Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and Eminem.
Snoop Dogg has denied the allegations, calling them ‘a pack of lies,’ TMZ reported.
The woman said in court docs that a prior attempt to settle the issue in private mediation Tuesday was ‘unsuccessful,’ according to NBC News.
An insider told TMZ that the lawsuit is a ploy to get paid, as the rapper is in the limelight amid the high-profile performance, and said that Snoop Dogg rejected the woman’s demand for an amount in the range of $10 million.
In an Instagram Stories post earlier Wednesday, Snoop Dogg wrote, ‘Gold digger season is here be careful … keep ya guards up.’
In the suit, the woman said the rapper posted the aforementioned social media post in response to the mediation.
The woman, who is accusing Snoop Dogg and Bishop Don Juan of sex trafficking, sexual battery and sexual assault in the suit, has requested a jury trial and is asking for punitive damages and legal fees.
The rapper was present Thursday at a press conference promoting the halftime show, but did not address the incident, and questions were not taken.
