General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress has brought finality to claims that former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu has been sidelined in the political party.

According to him, the decision not to put any Member of Parliament in the political party’s campaign team is to help them focus and concentrate on their work as MPs.

“Have you seen any MP on the campaign team? We want the MPs to concentrate. I’ve been an MP before and I never would have understood why someone will take me from my constituency and put me in the national campaign. That would have been ill-thought-of.

Your responsibility as is to focus on your constituency and ensure you deliver your constituency as much as you can and possibly extend beyond your constituency to help adjoining constituencies and help your region,” he said.

Fiifi Kwetey noted that rumours of disunity in the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are a result of the desperation of the governing NPP which does not have a message going into the 2024 elections.
