In a scathing public address, Dormaahene, a prominent traditional leader, has lambasted President Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over the country’s economic woes.

With unbridled candor, Dormaahene alleged that NPP party executives have exploited the Cedi’s value for personal gain, purchasing properties in Europe and exacerbating the currency’s depreciation.

He highlighted the stark contrast in the price of cement under different administrations: 8.50 pesewas during Kufuor’s tenure, 16 Ghana cedis under Mahama, and a staggering 90 Ghana cedis today.

Dormaahene declared his unwavering commitment to speaking truth to power, unafraid of retribution or loss of contracts and money. He urged his fellow chiefs to emulate his example and hold politicians accountable for their actions.

The traditional leader’s fiery speech has sparked intense debate, with some hailing his courage and others criticizing his approach.
