Two members of the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) of Guinea, Heleine Sylla and Diogo Balde have both quit, citing ongoing falsification of results to favour the third term bid of incumbent Alpha Conde.
The two commissioners said their integrity and clear conscience will be compromised if they continue to be part of a process that will steal the mandate of the people of Guinea.
They also cited the ongoing violence and killings of innocent people as protests continue against partial results being released by the Electoral Commission.
Opposition candidate Cellou Dalein Diallo said he won the presidential election of October 18 with 53 per cent according to the results declaration sheets available.
