Two persons have been arrested in connection with the Adoagyiri chieftaincy conflict in the Eastern Region.

The police are investigating the death of three persons in two separate incidents connected to the chieftaincy dispute.

In the first incident, months ago, a death was recorded from a suspected gun shot.

Weeks later, precisely on Tuesday, August 29, two deaths were recorded in a cross fire at Adoagyiri.

The Eastern Regional Security Council (REGSEC) Chairman, Seth Kwame Acheampong, who doubles as the Regional Minister, had mentioned the incident contravened the Public Order Act and Arms and Ammunition Act, which deals with possession of arms or ammunition without authority.

A ban on outdoor activities is in force, whiles heavy police presence has been sustained for public safety and stability.
