Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah, founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, has addressed Pastor Mensa Otabil, leader of the International Central Gospel Church, over his recent claim that God no longer speaks to people. Owusu Bempah firmly disagreed, stating that this would be his final message on the matter.
Speaking to his congregation, Owusu Bempah insisted that God continues to communicate with pastors. He pointed out that Pastor Otabil has established church branches where prophets operate, questioning whether Otabil acknowledges only those prophets as genuine while dismissing others as fake. He urged Otabil to reconsider his stance and accept that divine communication still exists.
He further challenged Otabil’s position by referencing Prophet Annor, a pastor within ICGC who claims to hear from God. Owusu Bempah argued that if Otabil has entrusted a church branch to a prophet who receives divine messages, then his assertion that God no longer speaks contradicts his own actions. He cautioned Otabil against misleading people and reminded him that many still respect his leadership.
Explaining his perspective, Owusu Bempah stated that God speaks in two ways: through the written word (the Bible) and the spoken word, which comes through visions and revelations. His comments come in response to Otabil’s earlier statement that God is no longer revealing mysteries and that divine revelation has been completed, a claim that has sparked widespread debate.
