Musa Dankwa, the Executive Director and Head of Research at Global InfoAnalytics, says it appears members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have not learnt from the mistakes made by members of the outgoing Akufo Addo-led administration.
This follows a comment made by the Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, Anthony Nukpenu, about the rerun of elections in a polling station in Dome-Kwabenya.
Anthony Nukpenu has raised serious concerns about the safety of electoral officers in the upcoming rerun of the outstanding polling station in Dome Kwabenya.
He said he cannot guarantee the safety of the electoral officers that will be deployed to conduct that single polling station, stressing that the NDC does not support the rerun of elections at a single polling station.
This assertion by Anthony Nukpenu did not sit well with Musa Dankwa who accused the opposition NDC of replicating the same mistakes made by the outgoing administration. In a Facebook post, he said the comment was uncalled for.
Musa Dankwa said Anthony Nukpenu is not responsible for the security arrangements for the rerun of the elections, adding that Dome-Kwabenya is not NDC-occupied territory in a warzone Ghana.
“Testimony politicians don’t learn from the mistakes of their outgoing friends on the other side. I hope they remember some of the comments from the ruling party officials that contributed to their defeat.
Someone should tell him no one has tasked him to guarantee anyone’s safety or security, Dome- Kwabenya is not NDC-occupied territory in a warzone Ghana,” he posted.
