Founder and leader of the Glorious Word and Power International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has refuted allegations that, he, together with the founder and General Overseer of the Action Chapel, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, and the General Superintendent of the Assemblies of Ghana and Lead Pastor of the Cedar Mountains Assemblies of God, Rev. Stephen Wengam, are praying for the defeat of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the December 7 elections.
In an interview on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ programme with Kwame Nkrumah Tikese on Wednesday, the revered man of God expressed shock and disappointment over the falsehood being peddled by some persons from the ruling party.
But Rev. Owusu Bempah clarified that he has no grudges with the NPP neither does he have any discontentment against any political party nor its leader.
Rev. Owusu Bempah’s comments come on the wheels of a recent video circulating on social media which alleges that, there has been a meeting between the former President, John Dramani Mahama, Archbishop Duncan Williams, Rev. Stephen Wengam and Rev. Owusu Bempah to pray for the defeat of the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the December general elections.
Rev. Owusu Bempah said, “the allegations circulating on social media is false. There is no such meeting between the respected men of God and I. In fact, I have never seen Rev. Wengam talk less of having a meeting with him. So I don’t know the reason why these people would send out this slanderous allegations about me”.
“I am never envious of Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng as they are purporting. For what reason would I envy my colleague man of God. What they are doing is a deliberate attempt to dent my hard earned reputation,” he said.
