Following his victory in the December 7, 2024, presidential election and subsequent swearing-in on January 7, 2025, President John Dramani Mahama has begun appointing key individuals to lead state agencies and state-owned enterprises in acting capacities.
These appointments form part of the President’s efforts to solidify leadership within critical institutions as he establishes his administration.
The Presidency has officially confirmed the following acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) appointments:
- Wisdom Yayra Koku Deku – National Identification Authority
- Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe Esq. – National Petroleum Authority
- Edward Bawa – Ghana National Petroleum Corporation
- Professor Nana Ama Klutse – Environmental Protection Agency
- Victoria Emefa Hardcastle Esq. – Petroleum Commission
- Afetsi Awoonor – Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company
- Sammy Gyamfi Esq. – Precious Minerals Marketing Company
- Justina Nelson – Minerals Income Investment Fund
- Mohammed Abdul Salam – National Lottery Authority
- Dr Kwaku Asiedu Nketia – Deputy CEO, Minerals Income Investment Fund
The appointments reflect a mix of legal, academic, and professional expertise, as the President aims to ensure strong leadership within these vital institutions.
President Mahama’s administration continues to prioritise the prompt filling of key roles within government agencies to foster effective governance, operational stability, and the fulfilment of national development goals.
