Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah has expressed his frustration over claims that he instructed certain pastors to speak against the construction of the National Cathedral.
The leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International addressed the issue after watching a video in which he was accused of sabotaging the project.
“Why are NPP members attacking me on Chairman Wontumi’s TV channel? They’re falsely accusing me of being against the National Cathedral, which is very annoying. Initially, I chose to stay silent, but after seeing the video, I felt compelled to respond as it was quite disheartening,” Prophet Owusu Bempah said.
The outspoken prophet explained that a known supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) appeared on the NPP-affiliated channel and made several defamatory statements about him.
“He even went as far as to say it’s not God that speaks to me, but Satan. He made many false claims, including allegations that I had met a certain man of God to plot against the National Cathedral,” he lamented.
While some individuals have apologized for the false claims, Prophet Owusu Bempah emphasized that he was waiting for the person who made the initial allegations to retract his statements. However, that has yet to happen.
“I have never had any conversation with any pastor concerning the National Cathedral,” he clarified. “What they have done to me will backfire, and we shall see the consequences. They have offended me, and now they are adding insult to injury by spreading lies.”
Prophet Owusu Bempah also reiterated his loyalty to the NPP, recalling his role in their 2016 electoral victory.
“I fought for the NPP both physically and spiritually. There is no man of God who does more spiritual work than me. We worked hard because God instructed us, but some people are not happy.”
With 76 days to go until a significant undisclosed event, Prophet Owusu Bempah hinted at a looming outcome, saying, “We shall see what happens.”
