Prophet Paul Kusi Appiah, also known as the Warrior-Prophet, has shared his perspective on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s loss in the 2024 presidential election. Speaking in an interview on Lawson Radio/TV, he expressed his disappointment and noted that his earlier predictions of Bawumia’s victory were not realized, largely due to the neglect of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In his conversation with host Kwame Tanko, Prophet Kusi Appiah revealed that he had raised important concerns with the NPP leadership, but his warnings were ignored. “I made my concerns known from the outset, but the party chose not to listen. This defeat is a result of their decisions,” he said.
The Prophet suggested there are deeper issues within the party, explaining, “There are underlying factors behind this loss that could lead to more divisions within the NPP. It’s not just about losing the election; there are more complex matters involved that I can’t fully discuss right now.”
He also acknowledged that other prominent spiritual leaders, like Prophet Kusi Boateng, had predicted Bawumia’s success, but their prophecies did not come to pass because the party failed to act on their advice. According to him, the problem was not with the prophecies but with the NPP’s refusal to follow the proper guidance.
In an unexpected disclosure, the Warrior-Prophet revealed that just four days before the election, Prophet JY Adu had warned him about potential voter apathy in the Ashanti Region, a stronghold of the NPP. “JY Adu told me there would be low voter turnout in the Ashanti Region, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. It had a significant impact on Bawumia’s chances,” he explained.
Prophet Kusi Appiah concluded that the party’s disregard for spiritual guidance played a major role in its electoral defeat.
