Prophet Paul Kusi Appiah, widely known as the Warrior-Prophet, has shared his thoughts on Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s defeat in the 2024 presidential election. In an interview on Lawson Radio/TV, he expressed his disappointment and noted that his predictions of Bawumia’s victory did not materialize due to the neglect of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
During his conversation with host Kwame Tanko, Prophet Kusi Appiah revealed that he had alerted the NPP leadership about critical issues but was disregarded. “I made my concerns known from the start, but the party chose not to listen. This defeat stems from their decisions,” he remarked.
The Prophet suggested that there are underlying issues within the party, stating, “There are hidden factors behind this loss that could lead to further rifts within the NPP. It’s not merely about losing the election; there are intricate matters at play that I cannot elaborate on at this moment.”
He also recognized that other prominent spiritual leaders, such as Prophet Kusi Boateng, had foreseen Bawumia’s victory, but their predictions fell flat because the party failed to heed their advice. He emphasized that the issue lies not with the prophecies but with the NPP’s unwillingness to take the correct course of action.
In an unexpected revelation, the Warrior-Prophet mentioned that just four days prior to the elections, Prophet JY Adu had warned him about possible voter apathy in the Ashanti Region, a traditional NPP stronghold. “JY Adu informed me that there would be a low voter turnout in the Ashanti Region, and unfortunately, that’s precisely what occurred. It significantly impacted Bawumia’s prospects,” he stated.
Prophet Kusi Appiah concluded that the party’s disregard for divine guidance contributed to its downfall.
