President commissions University of Environment and Social Development

The President of the Republic Of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo on Wednesday, 5th August 2020,  commissioned the University of Environment and Sustainable Development (UESD), and also cut the sod for the commencement of construction of Phase Two of the University.

The contract for Phase Two was signed on 6th May, 2020. It is a turnkey contract agreement with M/S Contracta, valued at forty-nine million, eight hundred and ninety-one thousand, ninety-eight euros (€49,891,098.00), to be completed within thirty (30) months of signature of the agreement. The completion of UESD is yet another example of our nation’s commitment to providing quality education and skills training for our people.
