Renowned Ghanaian broadcaster, Nana Yaa Brefo, has shared a shocking account of a famous church in Tarkwa being transformed into a galamsey site.
During a discussion on galamsey and its effects on Onua TV, Nana Yaa recounted her personal encounter with the disturbing phenomenon.
While traveling to Tarkwa for a seminar, Nana Yaa said she stumbled upon a once-thriving church, now converted into a galamsey site.
She revealed that the pastor, whose name she chose not to disclose, had closed down the church and sold it to galamseyers for a substantial sum of money and the pastor has relocated to Accra, seeking a better life.
