Papa Kwesi Nduom Drops Revelation About GN Bank And Sends Bold Message To Akufo Addo

14 Dec

Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, founder of Groupe Nduom, has expressed his frustration with President Akufo-Addo’s administration, accusing it of ignoring his efforts to revive his collapsed businesses.

In a live video on Facebook, Dr. Nduom revealed his challenges following the closure of GN Bank in 2018, when the Bank of Ghana (BoG) revoked its license as part of financial sector reforms. The closure of GN Bank had a ripple effect on his other businesses, including Gold Coast Fund Management, leading to the loss of approximately 6,000 jobs.

Dr. Nduom explained that the collapse of GN Bank froze funds vital to the operations of his other companies. This created significant difficulties in paying salaries and sustaining business operations, resulting in widespread unemployment and financial hardship.

Since the collapse, Dr. Nduom claims he has made numerous attempts to seek support, reaching out to traditional leaders, church leaders, and members of the current government. He stated that he has written petitions and proposed collaborative solutions to recover customers’ funds and restore the bank, but his efforts have been met with silence.

“I have reached out to many people, including chiefs, bishops, and members of this administration, asking for their help. I have written petitions to the government, proposing ways we can work together to secure customers’ funds and rebuild. But all my efforts have been ignored,” he lamented.

Dr. Nduom emphasized the impact of the government’s inaction, stressing the importance of reviving his businesses to restore jobs and alleviate the financial distress of affected individuals and families.
