According to latest report by GhPage, the convoy of Otumfuo Osei Tutu, has been attacked by some residents in Techiman.
According to report, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, along with his entourage, traveled to Nkoranza in the Bono Ahafo Region to attend a funeral. Everything appeared to be going smoothly until they began their journey back home. On their way, they passed through Techiman, where the incident occurred.
Reports indicate that some residents of Techiman, began to throw stones at the vehicles in Otumfuo’s convoy. Many of the cars had their windows shattered due to the attack.
In a video making waves on the internet, many were heard saying that people have been injured and rushed to the nearest hospital.
It is believed that the attackers hid in different locations along the route, making it difficult for the convoy to escape the ambush. As to why they attacked Otumfuo’s convoy is yet to be revealed.
Members of Otumfuo’s entourage, angered by the attack, were ready to confront the attackers and retaliate. However, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in a show of leadership and restraint, signaled his team to remain calm and avoid escalating the situation.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the incident. However, the damage to the vehicles has raised concerns about the safety of prominent leaders traveling through the area.
