Oliver Barker Vormawo charges REVEALED

A private legal practitioner and leading member of Democracy Hub has been remanded into police custody by an Accra Circuit Court for two weeks.

Oliver Barker-Vormawor was remanded together with Felicity Nelson and eleven other demonstrators when they appeared in court on Thursday, September 26, 2024.

He was charged with 8 counts of offences, including offensive conduct, breach of peace, and stealing.

Felicity Nelson and the eleven others were charged with six offences.

Presiding judge Kwabena Obiri Yeboah ordered the police to cater for the feeding of the protesters following claims that they had been denied food and water since they were arrested.

Dr Justice Srem Sai, the lawyer’s lead counsel, informed the court that his client had been admitted to the hospital after falling sick the night before.

Oliver Barker-Vormawor was led to court on Thursday, September 26, after missing his last appearance on Wednesday due to illness.
