The NPP has settled on the wife of the slain MP, Ophelia Hayford, as his successor in the Mfantseman Constituency. The party has sent a letter, yesterday, to the EC to invoke section 13(4) of CI 127 to allow a 10 day extension of the nomination period within which period the party will file her name.
She is an Assistant Superintendent of Police and has written to resign from the Ghana Police Service.
