The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Honorable Justin Frimpong Koduah, has openly disclosed the reason behind the NPP’s defeat.
In a recent interview, Honorable Koduah attributed the loss to spiritual factors rather than physical ones.
He explained that spiritually, the party’s defeat was due to some pastors who were supposed to intercede for the NPP but refused because of their anger and bitterness. Speaking on a radio station, he emphasized, “I want to appeal to pastors who intercede for the NPP. A lot of spiritual forces were at play before the 2024 elections. I don’t mind what others believe, but I firmly stand by what I am saying.”
He further explained that there were spiritual events influencing the outcome, stating, “I believe we lost the elections spiritually. Some pastors who should have prayed for us, and some prayerful women who should have interceded for us, did not because of anger.”
Koduah linked his comments to the low voter turnout among the party’s supporters, noting that it was unusual for so many NPP members across sixteen regions to not cast their votes. “It’s strange that, on election day, a large number of NPP supporters chose not to vote. This just doesn’t happen,” he added.
