Nigerian medical practitioner, identified as Tony aka Dimkpa Madu, has allegedly met a tragic and untimely death after consuming a drink that was reportedly laced with poison by his very own kinsman.
The horrific incident reportedly unfolded in his hometown of Nenu, in the Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, on Boxing Day—just after the doctor had returned to the village to join in the Christmas celebrations with family and friends.
One of the doctor’s alleged friends, Prince Agbara, took to Facebook to break the tragic news, expressing disbelief and outrage over his shocking demise.
Agbara disclosed that, after the doctor’s untimely death, the alleged perpetrator fled the village, disappeared with his entire family, left behind a community in mourning and searching for answers.
He wrote;
“This is disheartening. Somebody that was alive and healthy on the 25th, po.isoned on the 26th through drink and he vom.ited and that was it, by his kinsman. On noticing that my friend had d!ed he ran away with his family,”
The tragedy has ignited fierce conversations online, with many calling for justice, condemning the alleged perpetrator’s actions, and reflecting on the disturbing reality of how deeply trusting villagers can be violated.
People have taken to social media to share their anger and heartbreak over the loss of a man whose life they claimed was taken far too soon.
