NPP Have Stolen The Public Purse –  John Dramani Mahama

25 Nov

Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has called on citizens to unite in a collective effort to replace the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. According to Mahama, the NPP has failed in its governance, particularly in managing the economy, and should no longer be entrusted with leadership.

In a message shared on social media, Mahama criticized the ruling government for its economic mismanagement and accused it of undermining the intelligence of Ghanaians by continuing to claim superior economic stewardship. He stated, “They promised to protect the public purse, but today, they have stolen the entire purse. The time for accountability has come, and we must drive the elephant back into the bush.”

The former president expressed deep concern about the state of the economy that his administration may inherit in 2025 if he returns to power. Acknowledging the significant challenges ahead, Mahama assured Ghanaians of his commitment to transparency and collaboration to rebuild the nation’s economy.

“The economy is in ruins, and I won’t deceive you about the difficulties we will face. However, we will open the books to show the true state of affairs and work together as a nation to restore economic stability,” he stated.

Mahama emphasized the importance of collective effort and accountability in addressing the current economic challenges and pledged to lead an administration that prioritizes transparency and the well-being of all Ghanaians. As the 2024 general elections approach, his call for unity and his vision for economic revival are likely to resonate with many citizens seeking change.
