A Political and Security Analyst, Paul Boateng has disclosed that the opposition National Democratic Congress has support in the Central and Greater Accra regions but the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) is leading in the other regions in the country.
During a discussion on Okay FM’s Egyaso Gyaso with Vim Lady, Paul Boateng mentioned that the opposition party, the National Democratic Congress(NDC) may have to sit up and work harder if they want to win the forthcoming elections.
According to him, per research, the possibility of NDC winning the elections in Greater Accra by at least 70% is high. He further added that NDC might also win in the Central region but the margin will be very little.
Paul Boateng however stated that aside from the two regions, the ruling NPP might win in the other regions because a few months to the elections, the government will try to improve the economy to cajole the people of Ghana to vote for the party.
“Whoever will win will win by October, the NPP and Bawumia will improve the economy so the NDC needs to work harder to match up with the ruling party, especially in the Ashanti region and Eastern Region. NDC will win in these two regions; Central and Greater Accra regions but they have a low chance of winning in other regions”, he explained.
