A Deputy Youth Organizer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Amenfi East Constituency of the Western Region, Maclean Jacob Asaah, has died in a road accident.

Western Region Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Richard Kirk Mensah, who confirmed the sad news to Connect FM’s Omanbapa morning show team, indicated that the youth organizer aspirant died on the spot after he was knocked down by a vehicle whilst returning from campaign.

“Terrible news coming from Amenfi East indicates that the Deputy Youth Organizer aspirant from the camp of Chairman Gyan has died on the spot after a car knocked him down and one other comrade on a motorbike while they were returning from a campaign,” he indicated.

“The other comrade who is a ward coordinator is in critical condition at the moment.”

Primaries in the Amenfi East Constituency of the NDC was suspended due to internal party issues.

The party after resolving the issues scheduled Monday, July 3 to hold primaries for the constituency.

Barring any last-minute changes, the election will take place Monday at Ankosia, a community close to Wassa Akropong.
