Maxwell Kofi Jumah reveals what nearly ‘killed’ him

Managing Director of GIHOC Distilleries Limited, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has revealed what caused an accumulation of iodine in his system, causing a health scare.

Kofi Jumah who recently got sick travelled to the United States of America to receive treatment. It was here that it was revealed he had excess iodine in his body.

According to him, this was one of the diagnoses he received from doctors.

Kofi Jumah explained that the excessive consumption of catfish, which contained iodine made him sick.

In an interview on Okay FM, the GIHOC boss revealed doctors had advised him to reduce the intake of catfish, but upon a deeper reflection and introspection, he (Kofi Jumah) has made it a point to stop eating catfish all together.

The love of catfish who is now retiring from its consumption is confident of fully regaining his strength soon, taking a centre stage in political issues once more.
