President-elect John Dramani Mahama yesterday continued his Thanksgiving Service at the Assemblies of God church, during which he shared emotional testimony on how God lifted him up when his body was failing.
Addressing the congregation, John Dramani Mahama said he cried unto God and brought his supplications to the Almighty, and he responded with bountiful blessings and successes.
Recounting his campaign times, John Dramani Mahama said it was very grueling. He revealed that there were times when getting up from bed in the morning was a struggle for him. He said he sometimes returns home from campaign tours around 3 am and had to wake up at 8 am to continue with the campaign tours. He indicated it was a struggle but once he wakes up and enters the shower, it was as if God had washed down his fatigue.
“This has been a very grueling campaign, there were times when the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. There are times when getting up in the morning was quite a struggle because we had just come back from campaigning at 3am and had to get up and go again by 8am. And yet when I enter the shower, it is as if God has washed all the fatigue away. I step out and God has given me a renewed energy.” He shared.
He further indicated that his utmost prayer point is for God to give him discernment to be able to choose the rightful and best people who will work in the interest of Ghana.
“I pray god should give me discernment to choose the best people who will work in the best interests of Ghana.” He added.
