A lady who was nearly scammed by a fraudster has shared her story to Kofi Noel Page and is cautioning other women on this Social media platform to be vigilant.
According to her the gentleman who uses the name Akwasi Boakye on Facebook came to her dm March but never replied him until October this year and this guy replied him and told her that she looked familiar so she should send him her WhatsApp number.

Good afternoon Kofi…I was nearly scammed….feel like sharing it to save other ladies. This guy with the facebook name Akwasi Boakye was in my dm March but I never replied him until October he sent couple of Hi so i decided to reply him now….we had a chat and he claimed I looked familiar so I should send him my WhatsApp contact which I did.
He introduced himself that he stays at Florida, Tampa to be precise for the past 10 years now as a Navy but does another side job too….he even calls me on a video call sometimes but I realized he likes to brag about money but the truth is he never proposed to me too..every single day he sends me two pictures I never asked for.
He took my contact on Tuesday….just Friday we were talking and he was like his foreman called him that they’ve run at a shortage with cement on site so they need 3 to finish whatever they were doing that day…so i should help him with 250gh…he will send it to me after work cos he has cancelled the mobile money app on his phone because he mistakenly sent an amount to a wrong number and never got his money back….I told him I can’t be of help because I already shopped my groceries for the month so I have nothing on me. He didn’t sound offended …so the following week we were talking and he was like his Ghana foods are almost finished a friend of his will be returning from Ghana to USA on Monday so he wish I could get him some and I told him no problem he should send me money, will sort him out.
It was on Thursday we had this conversation so Friday around 12pm I was there when he sent a video showing 400 dollars that he’s currently at the bank about to send the money so i should send him my details and also how to disperse the money too…..He was like…i should use 1500gh for the foodstuffs, give his friend 1000gh , buy drinks worth 500gh for my son and keep the rest which will be 1700gh….so myself I was surprised and was waiting for the reciept to prove he has indeed sent the money….Kofi I got it at 3:30pm meaning 30 minutes more for banks to close…hmmmmè
I had to speed off to any GCB branch cos it was a western union reciept……I got there 3:50pm did everything got to the counter only to be told an invalid MTCN number….got out and called him and he was saying GH de3 our system is not correct koraaa….this guy was later giving me pressure that maybe the money hasn’t gotten to GH yet so i should wait till Monday but since his friend’s flight is early Monday morning I should try and get him to stuffs ….so I said okay. I called the friend and the guy was like he’s at Afram plains so since winneba to their end is far I can send his wife the money which is 2500gh so he gets the foodstuffs for the friend…that was when I started sensing this is a new method of fraud
Long story short because I didn’t fall a victim this guy has blocked me on Facebook and WhatsApp…have reported his account though but please share this cos he’s here looking for preys to feed on…only God knows the number of people he has defrauded on this blue app.
