The founder and leader of LPG party, Kofi Akpalo has cleared the air on what happened during the balloting process and how Bawumia got position one during the balloting process.
Explaining in-depth with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Kofi TV, Kofi Akpalo denied that circulating rumour that he changed his ballot paper with the New Patriotic Party and described the rumour as “nonsense”
He said all the parties verified the balls before the first round of selection took place. He revealed that the New Patriotic Party chose number one in their first round and he chose number 8. Before the second round, Dr Omane Boama of the National Democratic Congress said they smell foul play as they believe some of the balls have been marked.
He said this led to they changing the entire balls and the second round came one. During the second round, he asked them to put the balls into a black polythene bag so that it will not be transparent for anyone to see and that was done.
He said for the second time, NPP kept their hand in the bag and still chose number 1. Evans after choosing choosing the ball did not open and came to sit by him. Evans then passed the ball to Mark Manu, who was already holding the previous ball. So it looked like there was an exchange, but there was none.
