Inter Milan are preparing to offer contract extensions to wingback duo Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries soon.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the Nerazzurri want to secure the futures of the two wide players, whose current deals expire at the end of June 2026 and June 2025 respectively.

The summer transfer window closed a few weeks ago. But Inter are still putting their focus on the contract situations of the players already in the squad.

Wingback Dimarco’s current contract runs out at the end of June 2026.

The Italian international signed his most recent deal in the fall of 2021.

Now, Inter want to extend the 26-year-old’s contract. They will update his deal with improved wages to reflect his increased importance to the team and growing form.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri will naturally want to ward off any transfer interest in Dimarco.

The likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United have also reportedly shown an interest in signing Dimarco in recent months.

Therefore, Inter’s priority is clear. They want to make sure they’ve locked down the wingback on a new contract in the relatively near future.

New contacts with Dimarco’s agent should come in the next few weeks or months.

Dimarco is not the only wingback who Inter want to offer a new contract too.

Dutch international and former PSV man Dumfries’s current deal runs out at the end of June 2025.

Dumfries signed a four-year contract when he joined Inter from PSV in the summer of 2021.

And the Nerazzurri do not want to go too much longer without Dumfries putting pen to paper on an extension.

According to the Gazzetta, Inter’s clear priority is to avoid heading into next summer transfer window without having agreed a new deal with Dumfries.

But in truth, the Nerazzurri want to agree a new deal long before then. As with Dimarco, the Gazzetta reports, Inter will likely begin contract extension talks with the Dutchman’s representatives this fall.
