Kwame A Plus, the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has spoken out passionately about the unresolved murder of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale, whose assassination in 2019 left the nation in shock.

Sharing his involvement in the case, A Plus revealed that he had previously provided significant information to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

“Last year, I was invited to the CID headquarters to provide information regarding the murder of Ahmed Suale,” he recounted.

“During the meeting, I identified a high-profile minister from the previous government who was allegedly involved in contracting assailants to carry out the crime. I also disclosed my source, a highly credible one, in the presence of the CID director.”

The MP expressed deep frustration over the lack of transparency and progress in the investigation, suggesting that the case appears to have been relegated to the background.

He called on the CID director to update Ghanaians on the status of the investigation and provide a clear timeline if additional time is required.

A Plus did not stop at simply demanding accountability; he also issued a bold ultimatum. “If no update is provided within 48 hours, I will invoke my authority as a Member of Parliament to formally summon the Ghana Police Service to brief Parliament on this case.

“Should that fail, I will utilize my Facebook and other social media platforms to update the nation on what I know about the matter, which shall include the name of the alleged perpetrator.
