Okatakyie Afrifa has sent messages to Dr. Kwaku Oteng, the owner of Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN). Speaking on Angel FM on Monday, Okatakyie Afrifa mentioned that some individuals have reported him to his boss, Dr. Kwaku Oteng, due to his recent criticisms of galamsey (illegal mining).
For the past few years, Okatakyie Afrifa has been actively fighting against illegal mining in Ghana. He frequently uses Angel FM as a platform to issue warnings to politicians involved in such activities.
However, some politicians and individuals engaged in illegal mining, feeling offended or fearful that Okatakyie Afrifa might expose their names on live radio, bypassed him and reported his actions to Dr. Kwaku Oteng.
They wanted Okatakyie Afrifa to stop his on-air campaigns against galamsey.
Okatakyie Afrifa added that Dr. Kwaku Oteng called him to advise him on the matter. Although Okatakyie Afrifa did not disclose the details of what his boss said, he made it clear on air that he respects his boss’s advice.
That said, he also emphasized that no one in the country can intimidate him. He stated that he is doing the right thing for the benefit of Mother Ghana.
