The Member of Parliament for the Nhyiaeso constituency, Honorable Stephen Amoah, popularly known as “Sticka,” has issued a strong warning to the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region. He has demanded an immediate apology from the party executives over what he describes as a fake report on the NPP’s 2024 election defeat. He said that if the executives fail to apologize, he will not expose the party and reveal why they lost the elections.
Speaking in an interview on Hello FM on Monday, March 3, 2025, Hon. Stephen Amoah stated that the report presented by the former Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, and the Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi), is completely false. According to him, no proper research was conducted to determine why the party lost, and the report does not reflect the actual reasons behind the NPP’s poor performance in the elections.
He insisted that the claims made in the report were only meant to serve the interests of a few individuals within the party. He accused Chairman Wontumi and Kyei Mensah Bonsu of misleading the public and the party’s supporters with false information.
Hon. Amoah further warned that if the NPP executives in the Ashanti Region fail to apologize immediately, he will personally go on a radio tour to expose the real reasons behind the party’s defeat. He promised to give Ghanaians a full explanation of the factors that led to the NPP’s loss, especially in its stronghold, the Ashanti Region.
