Kumasi  Asante Kotoko SC head coach Prosper Ogum expressed his thoughts after his team’s 2-1 loss to  Medeama SC in the inauguration of TnA Park. The match did not go as planned for Kotoko, but Ogum remained positive about the team’s future

Reflecting on the squad, Ogum acknowledged the challenge ahead. “Yes, I will be in a state of dilemma this season,” he admitted. “There is so much quality in the team. I mean if you look at those who left and those who have come, I think as a technical team we need to give them that courage and confidence to be able to express themselves whenever we give them the opportunity.”

Ogum believes that the depth and talent within the team will play a crucial role as the season progresses. He emphasized, “There’s quality and depth in the team, and it is good for  Asante Kotoko.” This shows his confidence in the squad’s potential despite the tough start.

He also called for patience from the supporters, stressing the importance of their role in the team’s success. “The supporters should be patient and support us. They should support the team,” Ogum urged, recognizing the need for unity between the team and its fans.

As the season unfolds, Ogum and his team will look to build on this experience. The loss may be disappointing, but with quality players and the right support,  Asante Kotoko SC could still have a successful campaign.
