I owe no one explanation – Nana Kwame Bediako

17 Jan

Rather than questioning the source of his wealth, the New Force founder, Nana Kwame Asare Bediako, has asked Ghanaians to concentrate on what he is capable of doing to better their lives.

Cheddar, as he is popularly known, says questioning the source of his wealth is a form of judgement which does not appreciate the effort he put in to make his money.

He wants Ghanaians to celebrate those who have climbed up high the ladder of success and emulate, rather than criticising them unnecessarily.

“If someone makes money and decides to spend it, I can’t question him. He can decide to use it for what he wants even if he wants to use his money to buy beer and khebab,” he noted on Accra-based Asempa FM, and explained how he made his money from selling scraps.

“It went from the scraps to collecting piles of scraps, then I give it to the steel yards. The steel yards are the ones who buy steel and right now a company like B5 also buys scraps which they use for iron rods and sell”

“When I made my money, I started a business in Ghana and the business is what I’m investing in the country. So if Ghanaians don’t like this, then what do they like,” he asked.

Cheddar has, however, indicated that he is not perturbed about the questions surrounding the source of his wealth.

Fully convinced that his success stems from his personal efforts and hard work, Cheddar indicated that he owes no one an explanation to the source of his wealth.
