I am bitterly ‘disappointed’ to see tax payers money put into that property for 8 years-John Mahama

The current president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is on his ‘Thank You’ tour across Ghana. On Thursday, February 6, 2025, John Dramani Mahama paid a visit to the Anomabo fisheries college in Anomabo. This college is meant to enroll students in order to enhance their knowledge in fishing and to also train students to fish properly while giving them certificates upon graduation.

Speaking to the chiefs of Anomabo on Thursday, February 6, 2025, John Mahama expressed his disappointment on the state of the Anomabo fisheries college. According to John Mahama, He is bitterly ‘disappointed’ and sad to see that tax payers money were put into that property for eight(8) years and the building has been abandoned. He continues that, it would have been of good use if the former government had continued to upgrade it because his government already provided every material that was needed to make the Anomabo fisheries college a successful institution.

He further continued by expressing his interest in accepting full responsibility as a president to complete the Anomabo fisheries college and several similar projects that have been abandoned by the previous government as well as projects he could not complete.

John Dramani Mahama also expressed that he would engage the Fisheries Minister and the Minister of Finance to collaborate and help to enhance the fishing industry because it is a good career path for a lot people in Ghana especially those from coastal areas such as Anomabo. He then expressed that taxpayers money must be put into good use for Ghana.
