Hearts sign new center back on a 2-year deal

Ghana Premier leaue giants Accra Hearts of Oak have completed the signing of center back David Oppong Afranie. The former King Faisal defender has signed a two-year deal with the Phobians with an option to extend for further year.

Sources say the Ghana Football Association will allow the player’s registration even though the registration window has ended.

                  David Oppong Afranie is an established national team player with the Black Meteors

 

This was after the Phobians met the GFA’s conditions for a special dispensation.

Today’s signing was made possible following an agreement between Hearts of Oak and King Faisal last week.

Oppong Afrane was outstanding for King Faisal Football last season despite their relegation from the Ghana Premier League.

Afranie faces competition from Kofi Agbesimah and Kelvin Osei Assibey, who are fast establishing a solid partnership at the back.

Hearts next match in the betPawa Premier League is a trip to Sunyani where they will play Bofoakwa Tano.
