Tafo Member of Parliament, Ekow Assafuah, has expressed his disappointment with the Forest Commission boss, Allotey, for allegedly dismissing him during a meeting at his office. Assafuah stated that he had visited Allotey’s office to discuss issues affecting his constituents but was rebuffed instead.
He explained that when a Member of Parliament visits a government official’s office, it is not necessarily for personal gain. “When an MP comes to your office, he is not coming there because of money; maybe he comes there for assistance for their constituency members,” he said during an interview with Kwame Nkrumah Tekese of Okay FM.
Assafuah expressed discontent with the way he was treated, remarking, “A representative of the people wanted to have conversations with you, and you sack him in front of Collins Nuamah.” He claimed that his experience was not isolated and revealed that many people had reached out to him with similar stories of being mistreated by CEOs in government. “A lot of people have called me, sharing their own experiences of being treated poorly by CEOs in their government,” Assafuah
