Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II, President of the Bono House of Chiefs, has issued a stern warning against the Ashanti Overlord, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Speaking at the one-year anniversary of Dumasua Nkosouhene, Dormaahene expressed strong disapproval of any attempts by Otumfuo to appoint a paramount chief at Fiapre without his approval.

“As long as I remain the President of the Bono House of Chiefs, Otumfour cannot appoint a paramount chief at Fiapre without my approval,” Dormaahene declared. He further emphasized his resolve, stating, “Even if a court rules otherwise, I will disobey the ruling and accept the consequences, even if it means going to jail.”

This statement sets the stage for a potential showdown between the two traditional leaders, with Dormaahene drawing a clear line in the sand. The issue at hand is the authority to appoint a paramount chief at Fiapre, a matter Dormaahene insists requires his explicit approval.

The gathering in Sunyani witnessed Dormaahene’s unwavering stance, leaving no doubt about his commitment to upholding his authority as President of the Bono House of Chiefs.
