How To Get The New Offline Find My Mobile Feature

You don’t have to do anything to get the new version of Samsung’s Find My Mobile. However, you will need to enable the feature once the update is pushed to your phone.

When you get the update, you’ll get a notification on your device letting you know that you need to enable it through settings. Once you turn it on, you can also choose whether you want to encrypt your offline location, offering a little extra security.

Samsung Updates Its Find My Mobile App

XDA-Developers first spotted the update for Find My Mobile. The feature is called Offline finding, and as the name implies, it’s designed to make it so you can find your missing phone even if it’s not online.

The feature appears to allow other people to use their phone to scan for lost Galaxy devices that may be nearby. There’s also the ability to find Galaxy Watches and earbuds that were connected to your device.
