Communication specialist of the National Democratic Congress has reacted with disappointment in the new directives of the Ghanaweb to ban the coverage of some Ghanaians from their website.
The leading news media listed some popular Ghanaians they will no longer cover any news related to them.
In a short notice to their workers both new and old, the leading website said they have made crucial decisions regarding the coverage of their newsmakers. They listed the following persons as people with restricted coverage;
Business Decision: Sam George, Lydia Forson, Ransford Gyampo, Kevin Taylor, Twene Jonas, Bongo Ideas, Paul Adom-Otchere and his “Good Evening Ghana” and Media houses that consider the Ghanaweb competitors
On health ground, they banned coverage from people including, Daniel Duncan-Williams (Nicholas Duncan-Williams’s son), Abena Korkor, Funny Face and Moesha Bodoung.
However, they gave some specific conditions under which those banned can be covered including when Sam George is addressing the floor of parliament, when Ransford Gyampo speaks as an executive of UTAG and when Paul Adom Okyere comment on his capacity as the chairman of Ghana Airport Company Limited.
