General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel, Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, has come under heavy criticism after his prophecy regarding events to occur during the newly sworn-in President, John Mahama, failed.
The popular Kumasi-based man of God had prophesied that Ghanaians would vote in 2024, and there would be a swearing-in ceremony in 2025.
However, he claimed the elected president would not be sworn in on January 7, 2025, as is customary, but on a different date.
Touting his spiritual prowess, Prophet Gyebi stated: “I have one of the sharpest eyes when it comes to seeing from a great distance.” Although Prophet Gyebi’s 2017 prophecy about an accident that claimed the lives of 20 revelers and left over 30 others injured came to pass, his prediction about Mahama’s swearing-in proved completely inaccurate.

This has led to some Ghanaians on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, lambasting the prophet and calling for his arrest.
