The Ghana Immigration Service has successfully intercepted a shipment of arms at the Paga Border Post, resulting in the arrest of a Chinese national and his Ghanaian accomplice.

In a statement posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on July 15, the Service credited the successful operation to the vigilance of its officers stationed at the Paga Border Post.

“The vigilance of our Immigration Officers at the Paga Border Post has led to the interception and arrest of a Chinese national and his Ghanaian accomplice,” the post read.

The interception underscores the Ghana Immigration Service’s commitment to preventing illegal activities and maintaining security at the country’s borders.
