Founder and leader of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Rev. Dr. Christian Kwabena Andrews popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom has made a bold declaration to take legal action against President Akufo-Addo and pastors who participated in the sod-cutting ceremony for the National Cathedral if he wins the presidency in 2024.

In a recent interview on Happy98.9FM’s morning show with Kwadwo Sefah-Danquah, Rev. Andrews vehemently criticized the government’s expenditure of Ghc 339 million on the National Cathedral, which he believes has not yielded any tangible benefits for the country.

He described the project as a gross misallocation of resources, emphasizing that the amount spent on the cathedral could have been better utilized for development projects that would have had a direct impact on the lives of Ghanaians.

Rev. Andrews vowed to hold President Akufo-Addo and the pastors involved accountable for their roles in the project’s sod-cutting. He promised to take legal action against them, citing the need for accountability and transparency in the use of public funds.
