The Electoral Commission of Ghana has responded to the National Democratic Congress in a press release this morning.
The N.D.C. has accused the commission that the register is bloated and needs to be audited before the 7th December elections. The NDC organized a nationwide DEMONSTARTION against the commission dubbed ” enough is enough ” which was well attended by well wishes and supporters of the party and presented a petition to the EC.
According to the response from the Electoral Commission and signed by the Deputy chairman of operations Mr. Samuel Tettey the commission will review the petition and respond in few coming days.
The commission also assures the General Public that the process of producing the final register is in its early stage and is mindful that the register is the bedrock of credible , fair and transparent elections.
