Director of IT and Elections for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has questioned the silence of the Electoral Commission following the arrest of a suspect believed to be in possession of a device believed to be for the commission.
In a post on Facebook, Dr Omane Boamah indicated that after several hours of police announcements, the commission has failed to speak to the matter; noting that it is worrying, especially for the time the country finds itself in.
His post read “It has been almost 12 hours since a BVD suspected to belong to the Electoral Commission was found with a suspected criminal. EC’s silence is too loud!”
Dr Omane Boamah used the opportunity to urge members of the National Democratic Congress to be vigilant to ensure that the governing New Patriotic Party’s plans of rigging the election does not come to fruition.
