Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Asamoah has landed herself in trouble after she recently made some comments about the traditional harvest festival Homowo which is celebrated by the Ga people of Ghana.
Evangelist Diana Asamoah had in a Facebook Live video which has since been widely circulated on social media said the strength of God would ensure that very soon the traditional festival would no longer be celebrated in Accra.
Her comments infuriated the Ga people and they descended on her via social media. Upon seeing she has erred, Diana Asamoah went on Facebook again to tender an apology for her earlier comments.
However, that did not stop the Ga Chiefs from summoning her. The GaDangme Youth Association led by Nii Ayaafio Tetteh I, at a press conference disclosed that it had reported her to the Acting President of the Ga Traditional Council, Nii Adotey Otintor II for action within a week.
In some pictures circulating on social media, Evangelist Diana Asamoah could be seen kneeling in front of some Ga Chiefs after she was summoned to answer for her comments that God would ensure that very soon the traditional festival would no longer be celebrated in Accra. It’s currently unclear what her punishment would be.
