Charles Taylor, a former star player for Hearts of Oak, has expressed doubts about the suitability of Annor Walker as the club’s coach for the upcoming season.

Walker, previously the coach for the Black Galaxies, has been rumored to be joining the Ghanaian giants following his departure from Samartex amidst concerns about his future.

After a disappointing campaign last season, Walker’s long-term prospects as a coach remain uncertain. Despite having one year left on his Samartex contract, the club seems unimpressed and uninterested in retaining him for the next season.

During an appearance on Angel TV, Taylor voiced his opposition to Walker’s potential appointment, citing his belief that Walker would struggle to handle the pressure at Hearts of Oak for even six months.

“Annor Walker can’t contain the pressure at Hearts of Oak. He won’t last even six months. He can’t coach Hearts of Oak, Togbe should bring Samuel Boadu or Prosper Ogum,” he told Angel TV.

Hearts of Oak had a challenging season, finishing in 12th position with 46 points.
