A recent survey has brought great news to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and NPP’s candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, is currently leading with 50.4% support.
This promising result has triggered celebrations within the party as they prepare for the upcoming elections in December.
The survey, conducted with just one month remaining before the election, shows a decisive shift in voter preferences.
According to the data, about 90% of voters have already made up their minds on who to support, signaling a strong commitment to voting.
The survey also highlighted that voter turnout is expected to be high, especially in the Ashanti Region, with projections indicating between 79% to 84% of registered voters showing up at the polls.
This is a significant improvement compared to earlier surveys, where voter turnout was lower. In particular, the NPP has made major strides in regions that were once considered a challenge.
The survey indicates that voter participation in key regions, including Ashanti, is likely to play a crucial role in securing a strong win for the party.
One of the factors that could influence the final result is the turnout in the northern parts of the country. Historically, voter turnout has been lower in these areas, but the NPP is focusing its efforts to increase participation.
The survey results also point out that, in certain constituencies, the ruling party could face challenges if voter turnout and rejected ballots are not addressed. However, the general sentiment suggests a positive outcome for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP as they continue their campaign efforts.
