Asiedu Nketia, a key figure in the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed shock over a recent poll conducted by Global Information Analytics, which shows Mahama leading in the 2024 presidential race.

Nketia, however, dismissed the poll’s credibility, suggesting that the results were misleading and inaccurate.

Nketia’s reaction comes as the NDC prepares for the upcoming election, where they are looking to challenge the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its candidate, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia. Nketia pointed out that the results from Global Information Analytics appear to favor Mahama, but he believes the survey’s methodology and conclusions are flawed.

According to Nketia, the poll is not a true reflection of the people’s sentiments and is designed to mislead the public.

NDC will not sign peace declaration ahead of election- Asiedu Nketia

The poll suggests that Mahama is in a strong position ahead of the election, but Nketia argued that it is too early to make such predictions.

He believes that the NDC’s track record and its promise to fix Ghana’s economy and improve citizens’ lives will play a crucial role in determining the outcome of the election.

Nketia was also vocal about the impact of the pandemic on Ghana’s economy, highlighting the government’s failure to manage the economic downturn that many African nations have faced in recent years.

In addition, Nketia criticized the state of the education system and its role in rising unemployment in the country. He emphasized the need for reforms to ensure that young graduates have the right skills to meet the demands of the job market.

Despite the controversies surrounding the poll, Nketia remains confident that the NDC will win the support of Ghanaians in the December election.
