At a gathering with religious leaders, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, Apostle-General of Royalhouse Chapel International, warned prophets against delivering prophecies for personal benefit as reported by Ghana Web on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
Speaking at the event organized by former president John Dramani Mahama on October 1, 2024, the veteran preacher emphasized the dangers of false prophecies motivated by political or material gain.
Rev. Ankrah expressed concern over prophets who speak without divine inspiration, cautioning that those who engage in such practices will face dishonor.
He said, “As for those who are running and prophesying when God has not sent them, my heart is bleeding for them. But he says, I have not sent them, yet they run. God will dishonor all of them.”
He further urged his fellow clergy members to remain united and not allow politics to create division within the church. “We will not be divided; we will not be divided by politics. We will not be divided by anybody,” he declared.
Rev. Ankrah encouraged religious leaders to be true representatives of Christ, embodying righteousness and integrity.
He advised them to focus on the love of their nation and not be swayed by greed or personal desires. “Don’t prophesy your stomach, don’t prophesy greed,” he urged.
The event concluded with prayers for the nation and the NDC Flagbearer, with the hope of a new era of unity and divine purpose for the country.
